Role Summary: The Director – Digital Operations’ primary responsibility is ensuring business continuity and operational effectiveness during the immediate go-live or Hypercare period of each PowerMax SAP ERP release and transition into operations. The Hypercare leader will be responsible for communicating, tracking and monitoring key metrics and resolving issues impacting business performance.
Essential Responsibilities: GE Power has launched a multi-year ERP program to get 3 of the largest business units – Power Services, Gas Power Systems and Steam Power Systems onto a single SAP ERP platform. The resulting ERP platform will be the largest in GE and will host approximately 40% of overall GE revenue with over 60,000 users. SAP is deployed in various locations with an aggressive plan to scale globally.
In this role, you will: • Set up and operationalize a Center of Excellence Hypercare model and central command center • Drive operations support synergies across multiple simultaneous ERP deployments and releases • Increase the effectiveness and efficiency as well as coordination and communication between local P&L deployment teams and SAP central design and delivery teams • Establish a governance structure that identifies key performance indicators, sets milestones, and establishes a reporting cadence • Proactively identify and resolve issues and make recommendations and escalate to the technical or functional teams to resolve • Align with the ERP operations leader to define exit criteria to transition to L2/L3 support • Lead cross-discipline teams to establish an integrated plan to deliver commitments • Tracks and monitors program status and metrics to ensure milestones are met, and internal and external delivery commitments are met
Qualifications/Requirements: • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) • A very strong ERP experience along with established leadership across the discipline and function
Desired Characteristics: Furthermore, the ideal candidate brings the following to the job:
Technical Expertise: • At least 2 ERP Lifecycle global implementations. Preferable SAP but will consider Oracle • Expertise in at least one or more core SAP modules • ERP operations experience. Supporting post go-live and stable operations • Knowledge of analytics and reporting tools; SAP BW, SAP Solution manager, Tableau • Experience using Jira is a plus
