Role Summary: The Lynn Quality Leader will be responsible for the product quality review associated with manufacturing structures. This role requires seasoned and deep understanding of quality and manufacturing concepts, Quality Management Systems and associated tools, approaches and methodologies. The successful candidate will lead a team to deliver on the business priorities and product quality review associated with the manufacturing process.
In addition you will :
Serve as the site's focal point for Quality with internal customers, headquarters, and auditors
Conduct recruitment, selection, development, and promotion of the Quality team
Responsible for driving the execution and closure of quality issues
Act as a change agent, to drive culture changes and increasing ownership of quality
Develop & Execute strategies related to quality assurance and quality control of products, services, systems and manufacturing processes
Drive Supplier Quality Management, Process Control, Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action Implementation
Lead Productivity Improvement initiatives
Execute strategies related to quality assurance and quality control of products, services, and manufacturing processes
Develop performance targets along with maintaining program metrics knowledge of GD&T used to review engineering drawings and identify non-conforming parts
Partner with our manufacturing and assembly sites, as well as product line teams, to resolve hardware non-conformances and other quality issues
Review engineering drawings and specifications to understand potential non-conformances
Drive all process improvement activities by utilizing Lean and Six Sigma tools
Lead Productivity Improvement initiatives
Develop Production Part Approval Process to ensure suppliers' compliance to design
Investigate any non-conformities & implement root cause corrective action
Maintain and develop quality systems for new & existing aviation programs
Design and implement cost-effective business and quality systems
Manage and maintain Supplier Corrective Action Requests
Responsible for Quality organization of supplier
Define and lead the implementation of the Customer Quality organization strategy, to minimize the risk of poor quality
The successful candidate leads improvement initiatives to achieve business excellence, and will work closely with external customers
Drive preventive and corrective actions to assure product compliance to specifications
Ensure that products and services perform according to quality standards and that manufacturing processes are capable and qualified
Work on complex technological solutions
Solve issues and develop new solutions through usage of methods and approaches with some precedence
Have authority in the network of experts and in project teams
Present product / program strategies, technical roadmaps, risks and recommendations to senior leaders (EB and SEB) across GE
Input and influence decisions within own discipline and area
Communicate recommendations and solutions across direct organization and with cross-functional partner organizations
Be involved in complex decision making sometimes with external parties
Ownership includes both quality assurance and quality control
Includes quality assurance of products, services, manufacturing processes
Includes conformance in manufacturing, incoming goods control, product inspection, witness points, etc.
Develops research programs on the basis of a year
Gives input to business programs of a encompassing part of a function or a business unit and to midterm plan
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Production Quality
Culture change agent with emphasis on addressing complex systematic issues
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects
Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs
Established project management skills
