Role Summary:
Regional PGS-Engineering team of engineers supports the current operation and maintenance of Gas Turbines, Steam Turbines, Generators as well as their Controls, Protection and Accessory systems. Our Engineers support all turbine/generator related equipment from the time the equipment is being installed until it is decommissioned. Product Service Engineers are focal points for problem resolution for our customers.

Essential Responsibilities:
As the PS lead Engineer you will provide solutions to customer issues and support for all product/system related aspects of Generator, Excitation, LCI, Generator Protection system
Understanding on total plant electrical systems and past experience in maintenance/Operation/troubleshooting of electrical equipment’s
Proven record of resolving complex systemic issue and managing customer communication,
Support and coordinate with interfacing organizations such as manufacturing, sourcing, services,
global engineering, systems engineering, PGS fulfillment and PGP teams
Support service programs, fulfillment, and New Product Introduction (NPI)
Provide strong guidance and contribution to DMP and design to cost projects communicate
progress to all levels of the organization
Mentor and develop less experienced personnel including young engineers, EEDPs and interns
Establish and maintain relationships with customers to make customer technical
challenges/requirements understood and addressed in a timely manner
Prepare technical presentations for GE Leaders and Customers thus ensuring timely
communication of significant issues or developments
Travel to customer locations to:
1) Support customer technical review meetings and present recommendations to champion GE's
committed technical solution
2) Support unplanned/forced outages to meet availability and reliability goals
3) Provide commercial teams with technical support for sales and services proposal activities

Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering
-12+ years of experience in Electrical system and its associated equipment’s/accessories
-Must be willing to travel 25 to 40%
-Fluent in English and/or Arabic
-Must be willing to work off hours and weekends to support emergency issue resolution·
-Must be willing to accept a local hiring in Cairo, Egypt, this is NOT a GME assignment

Desired Characteristics:
Master’s degree in Engineering
-Six Sigma training
-Strong electrical system understanding and analytical background, strong technical aptitude, including applicable engineering tools and systems
-Familiarity with manufacturing processes, strong connect with core design or manufacturing will be an added advantage
-Ability to drive projects to completion
-Strong oral and written communication skills
-Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
-Ability to interface effectively with all levels of the organization and external customers
