Role Summary: The Machinist is responsible for operating mobile equipment, tools & machinery efficiently and accurately onsite. He or she will work with machining supervisor to perform machining work onsite independently or as a team. This role reports to Senior Service Manager (Onsite Machining /ST Blading Segment)
Essential Responsibilities: You will be responsible for, but not limited to:
Overhaul and refurbishment of plant equipment on site and within the workshop in accordance to approved instructions
Perform maintenance of clean work areas, machines and equipment
Deliver expectations on EHS (Environmental, Health and Safety), Quality, On-Time Delivery, Productivity and Cost Reduction
Completes mandatory trainings • Ensures proper documentation as specified on Test & Inspect Plans, Work instructions .
Notifies non-conformances and tags / segregates non-conforming items
Ensures equipment calibration, proper usage of equipment and right material incorporated
Qualifications/Requirements: To be considered for this role, you would possess and/or demonstrate the following
Fitter / Machinist Trade Certificate
At least 3 to 5 years’ experience operating manual Workshop machinery
At least 3 to 5 years’ experience with onsite Machining and Mobile Equipment
Able to work on machining job independently
Experience with onsite machining
Able to understand engineering requirements on machining solutions, drawings
Flexible with travelling at short notice (national & international) for an extended period
