Role Summary: The Chemical Operator will be responsible for the safe, accurate production and movement/sorting of specialty water treatment chemicals supporting the Chemical and Monitoring Solutions division of the business
Essential Responsibilities: The Operator I will have the following responsibilities:
This position will also be required to do the following - labeling - wash chemical totes - labeling - blend chemicals
� Follows regulatory requirements.
� May require certification.
� May use technology (PCs scanners etc.) to complete job tasks.
• Show initiative to become an ‘expert’ in the assigned area and be open to learn and become an ‘expert’ in other blending/production areas • Identify and recommend any process modifications that will improve work flow or quality in the area • Ensure work is within all work instructions/standard operation procedures (WI/SOP) and train new operators in the operation of equipment under guidance of shift Supervisor or Trainer. • Show up daily and report directly to the work area • Monitor work (quality/quantity) throughout the shift to ensure that the day's goals will be met and inform Supervisor/designate of any obstacles which will prevent goals from being reached. • Report any safety, workmanship or HR concerns to the Supervisor/designate. • ensure work is appropriate shift handed off is giving to the oncoming shift. • Perform all tasks in a safe manner • Abide by all Occupational Health and Safety Rules (company and legislative) • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor or Trainer • Assisting and supporting production personnel in problem solving. • Demonstrating flexibility and willingness to work overtime when required • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements: Ideally at least 1 year work experience in a manufacturing/production or light industrial setting • Strong organization, communication and problem solving skills and the ability to coordinate a wide variety of duties and responsibilities Ideal candidate • Good manual dexterity, MUST be able to lift and carry upto 50lbs • Demonstrated ability to listen effectively and communicate under unique circumstances • Minimum Grade 12 post secondary education a definite asset. - Must be able to work Day shift – 6:30 am to 3:00 pm Monday to Friday and overtime as required
