Role Summary: The Maintenance Supervisor will coordinate and provide leadership to the maintenance department in the attainment of goals with respect to safety, quality, cost, production, and compliance. You will also provide on-going support to operations to maintain facility production equipment.
Essential Responsibilities: As the Maintenance Supervisor, you will:
Direct daily activities of hourly personnel to meet unit and MPS goals
Schedule daily workload using visual management
Coordinate continuity of workload over (3) shifts
Determine technical level and time estimates of work requested for dispatching purposes
Dispatch and monitor and complete work assignments to assure timely results
Troubleshoot and repair equipment as required and assist in troubleshooting problems with lower rated personnel
Develop and assist group or individual training
Improve and maintain group productivity levels
Maintain cost effectiveness of group purchasing activities through innovation, alternatives a least cost way
Interface with all levels of management and make and keep commitments
Practice effective human relations skills in order to motivate the assigned work force
Perform administrative duties to support the business including SAP, Kronos, EHS audits, etc
Contact and follow through with outside vendors and contractors
Administer routines, systems and related paper work
Promote safety, housekeeping, plant rules and codes
Associate's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical (or High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 6 years of manufacturing experience)
Must be willing to work extended shifts and weekends
Must be available in the event of a critical plant emergency during off-shift hours
Possess Boiler Operator License or willing to obtain boiler license within 6 months of accepting position
4th Class Stationary Boiler License
Excellent safety, attendance and performance record
Able to work well with others, give work direction, coach the work of others including contingent workers, and work with minimum supervision
Demonstrated strong leadership and the ability to Pro-active, positive attitude
Previous experience with manufacturing machines to include CNC controls
Able to perform SAP transactions
Ability to interpret electrical schematics and machine drawings
