Role Summary: The ES Products Commercial Finance Manager will direct all Commercial Finance activities for one of the GE Water & Process Technologies (W&PT) businesses. The ES Products business is a Flow business of approximately ~$330MM in sales with inorganic growth to over ~$420MM.
Essential Responsibilities: In this role, you will partner with Commercial, Finance and Business Leaders, translate concepts, develop strategy, implement change, create programs responsive to the external environment, and participate in cross functional business and cultural development. These responsibilities are to be performed with the appropriate risk management mindset and maintaining an appropriate financial process and controls environment. Additionally, this role will also be responsible for working closely with W&PT finance teams at Headquarters, Regions, BIG (Business Intelligence Group), Business Systems and Controllership to ensure business processes and the related financial footprint are well connected and appropriately controlled.
As the ES Products Commercial Finance Manager, you will:
Lead all Commercial Finance activities for the ES Products business across all Product lines
Proactively serve as business partner to Commercial leaders and Product Leaders in the formulation and execution of business strategy
Partner & lead with SFDC business process lead to drive commercial analytics based on source processes and data
Drive regional profitability framework for strategic business discussions
Own the current model and develop as needed the financial model & assumptions
Lead the development, implementation and measurement of operation plans and participate in their successful execution whether monthly, quarterly, annually or longer-term outlooks
Work closely with Finance Managers of other W&PT P&Ls to share best practices and ideas to improve business and finance strategy, processes, etc.
Support the overall finance integration activities with the new acquirer of W&PT
Support business goals by applying a broad range of products and structures for the businesses
Partner with Supply Chain to drive productivity and product cost for global supply chain footprint and develop specific strategies by product line based on Commercial demands
Participate in business and syndication deal review and deal approval meetings and keep senior management advised of material developments
Communicate business performance and identify growth accelerators
Provide business performance analytics to identify financial trends, highlight risk and opportunities and ensure operational coordination
Lead the pursuit of excellence in Controllership (e.g., adherence to accounting and compliance policies, transfer of best practices, internal controls, etc.)
Provide analysis and recommendations on capital expenditures, restructuring, acquisitions, and other projects as required
Recruit, mentor and develop Finance talent not just for Products, but across W&PT as needed
Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting from an accredited university or college
Minimum of 8 years of finance experience including a minimum of 3 years of experience in a finance leadership role
Previous manufacturing finance experience
Strong interpersonal, communication, presentation and facilitation skills
Strong teamwork skills and ability to leverage and influence resources to achieve goals and objectives
Strategic thinker / planner
Strong qualitative, analytical, and problem solving skills
Proficiency in Excel; prior experience with SAP and Tableau
Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced, high-visibility environment
Goal oriented, self-starter, able to work effectively with minimal supervision
