Role Summary: The Cardiology Care Area Marketing Director is responsible for development and execution of the cross-business Cardiology strategy for GEHC. The key outcome of this role will be to drive growth by enabling the business to win more Cardiology opportunities resulting in top line sales growth, improved margin and gains in market share. This role will ensure that GEHC has a defined Cardiology strategy that is executed with a disciplined, coordinated approach in client and market facing activities.
Essential Responsibilities: • Development and execution of a Cardiology strategy and campaign, key elements of which will include “go-to-market” tools and content, Digital strategy including Web-presence development, Event strategy and thought leadership activities • Support major Cardiology opportunities in the field working directly with Account Executives and Product Sales specialist to build client engagement and architect client specific solutions • Liaise with Product Management teams to provide input on key cardiology customer requirements ensuring these are fed into product development, value proposition creation and commercial launch processes • Align cross-business marketing resources around category priorities to ensure consistent messaging and communication and the development of cardiology focused value propositions reflecting customer priorities • Develop and drive Cardiology segmentation and targeting initiatives enabling the identification of key customer and market opportunities • Define and execute a Cardiology Key Opinion leader strategy, identifying and engaging key influencers to shape and advance our presence in the cardiac domain • Define and lead the relationship with Cardiology professional bodies, advocacy groups and guideline groups to ensure GEHC and its portfolio are optimally represented • Partner with Government Relations to influence Cardiology directed policy initiatives at state and federal level • Identify and lead the engagement for partnership opportunities in the Cardiology domain and input to Cardiology related Business Development opportunities. • Identify the key Cardiology trends and influences shaping the market and establish a sustainable process to ensure all stakeholders in the business are appropriately informed in a timely manner.
Qualifications/Requirements: Quality Specific Goals: 1. Qualifications: 1. Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field 2. 8+ years experience in marketing, product marketing or related field 3. Excellent oral and written communications skills 4. Strong analytical and process skills 5. Capable of quickly grasping technical and clinical concepts and driving solutions
Desired Characteristics: • First/second degree in a Healthcare related subject • MBA or marketing qualification • Highly credible in the Cardiology domain with deep clinical knowledge and strong KOL and professional organization connections • +10 years experience working in the Cardiology domain ideally in the Medical Device industry, experience of working on the client side within a Cardiology Service line either in a clinical or administrative role will be a distinct advantage. • Direct sales, sales management or consulting background with experience of architecting and delivering client specific offerings • Experience in developing and implementing broad based marketing campaigns including contemporary digital marketing expertise • Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills with a track record of successfully influencing horizontally and vertically across a complex matrix organization
