Role Summary: Provide technical support and training to the electrical engineering team using the Altium PCB CAD tool. Also, to drive process improvements and enhance tool support.
Essential Responsibilities: In the role of Technologist - Printed Circuit Board CAD, you will:
Provide technical support to the electrical engineering team
Enhance the PCB Design process
Train the Electrical Engineering team on the usage of Altium
Provide layout and schematic design reviews per company standards
Manage, update and sustain the Altium libraries
Maintain Altium and other eCAD tool licensing and network upgrades
Participate in initiatives to improve engineering processes
Bachelor's Degree Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university
minimum of 2 years experience with the Altium PCB tool (including Board layout and design with multiple layers)
Symbol creation and maintenance
Part (footprint) creation and maintenance
High speed design, including impedance control and power distribution
Importing and exporting to and from other PCB and Mechanical tools
Proficient Hyperlynx experience
Proficient understanding of fabrication and assembly
Proficient understanding of PCB materials and stackup
