Role Summary:
 
Baker Hughes, a GE company Downstream Chemicals has an Account Representative opening in New Orleans, LA. In this position your role will consist of developing and implementing sales strategies for the Houston area. Developing technical background on BHGE products and services.  Assist with the development of short and long range sales goals. Maintain and service assigned customer accounts. Engage, entertain, and communicate with plant personnel at customer facilities.  
 
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Learn BHGE product and services technologies
  • Support existing Fuel Additive & Refinery Process chemical business at major account in the Houston area
  • Work with Site Manager to identify and closes new sales growth opportunities
  • Lead and oversee activities within assigned accounts
  • Interface across the internal organization
  • Build strong relationships with key customers through value-selling and entertainment
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Science
  • 3 years industrial experience
  • Refinery Experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Solid mechanical aptitude
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office, Visio, Process Simulation software
  • Strong at building personal relationships (with internal and external customers)
Desired Characteristics:
  • 2+ years of process chemical or fuel additive treatment experience or 2+ years experience in a refinery engineering position
  • Expertise in negotiating skills
  • Excellent financial management skills and / or P&L management experience
