Role Summary: The Logistics Specialist, for IST Projects is responsible for shipping activities for assigned jobs, inside the Logistic & Duty team. She/he will work in tight contact with project manager, Customer’s shipping manager and shipping providers, to manage the shipping activities for the assigned projects, up to the completion of the contractual provision. A key player for the successful completion of the agreed delivery schedules in line with customer CWD, manufacturing needs and sales plans.
The role also involved keeping control of cost and support to Commercial department during ITO phase.
Manage and control the flaw of materials and hand over to customer.
Support to define the shipping budget in ITO Phase: Investigate transportability of main components with related time and cost associated.
Issue project-/contract specific Shipping, Packing and Marking Instructions
Establish shipping plan for main lots
Evaluate quotations and negotiate with service providers
Issue transport, customs and cash-in documentation
Organize transportation as per contractual delivery term
Maintain cost control – MCR Monthly Cost report
Support Procurement community to define transport costs and duty rates for total cost analysis of equipment and systems
Applicants should have relevant experience in a similar role with proven experience of managing complex transportation materials (out of gauge, heavy lift, etc).
Demonstrable commercial acumen and experience is required with the ability to work independently without close supervision to achieve pre-agreed objectives.
As preferred skill, applicants should have previous team working experience with the ability to manage and motivate functional teams, or Project Management expertise.
Strong English communication skill both verbal and written. Additional language will be preferred.
