Essential Responsibilities: • Own the Current electronics product (such as LED drivers) design and validation according to product spec and cost target. • Responsible for full product development cycles from concept design till the initial mass production. • Analyze failures and validate the corrective actions during design and qualification phases. • Own technical reviews, support program manager on other reviews per NPI process, document design details into GE documentation system • Proactively manage technical risks and communicates to stakeholders. • Working with sourcing, quality and suppliers to ensure product cost and quality. • Work with program manager to control project costs and deliver project on time. • Have high potential to lead program team. • Apply Six Sigma tools in design process.
Qualifications/Requirements: • BS Electrical Engineering Degree or above, Good understanding on power electronics circuit. • Proficient in using Pspice/Matchcad to analyze power electronics circuit. • Faimiliar with firmware/software design knowledge. Proficient is better. • Able to prioritize complicated tasks to ensure program delivery. • Familiar with domestic and international regulatories/standards on ballast, e.g. GB, IEC and UL; • Strong personal values, integrity, customer centricity, commitment to performance etc; • Working English communication both in writing and oral, and be adapted to conference call with global teams. • Quick learner and keen problem solver. Self motivated with passion and energy;
Desired Characteristics: '• Minimum 3 years working experience in power electronics industry • Demonstrated success in designing power electronic products • In-depth knowledge of product reliability and manufacturability • Understanding of six sigma or statistical process control • Familiar with selection of electronics components based on design requirement and cost target • Familiar with Firmware design and de-bug.
