Role Summary: The Senior Engineer will develop, validate, and maintain multibody dynamics modeling capability and provide leadership/mentorship for the use multibody simulations with the necessary level of fidelity to ensure reliable and robust wind turbine designs. The development of multibody dynamics simulation capability will entail coding/scripting work done in the context of using a commercial multibody simulation software as core of the modeling/design system.
Develop, implement, and maintain multibody dynamics modeling capability including coding/scripting
Mentor lead engineers developing multibody dynamics modeling capability and the end users of that capability
Lead interactions with design/disciplinary teams to understand modeling requirements for the purposes of correct modeling and to enable others to effectively execute simulations
Verify that the modeling capability meet accuracy requirements and recommend validation plans
Identify and leverage test data from component test, drivetrain test stands and prototype testing
Direct and develop the development of technical documentation, including but not limited to training material, to empower others to effectively use the multibody dynamics modeling software capability
Lead the development of customer facing technical documents
Define best practices and document in design practice(s)
Master of Science Degree in Engineering
Strong engineering experience (can include experience in graduate school in a relevant field of study or industry experience)
Some direct experience developing multibody dynamics simulation capability in the Simpack (preferred) software or similar software (e.g., Adams, SAMCEF, etc.).
Demonstrated experience using multibody dynamics simulation software with models of varying fidelity
Demonstrated experience working in a matrix organizational environment
System or product-level mindset
EU Work Permit if hired in Spain

Proficiency in scientific computing languages and frameworks (e.g. Python, Fortran, etc.)
Experience in modeling wind turbines using the Simpack (preferred) software or similar software (ADAMS, SAMCEF, etc.)
Experience with finite-element modeling such as but not limited to ANSYS
Experience with CAD software such as but not limited to Unigraphics (NX), Catia, Solid Works
Wind turbine engineering experience
