Role Summary: Design, provision, configure and maintain all infrastructure platforms (cloud and virtual machine) related to the Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC) platform within GE Digital Risk, Compliance and Regulatory.
Essential Responsibilities: Will partner and work as part of a dynamic team on many projects, as well as helping set the platform’s long-term technical direction. Will work with internal and external teams on both back-end and front-end design and execution. Will work to migrate traditional VM and physical architecture to GE’s cloud, as part of the overall strategy.
Maintain daily operations of all servers within architecture stack
Maintain updated design, system and support documents for all servers
Keep current on updated server requirements and execute budgeted projects on updates
Monitor and work with patching teams on a weekly basis to address identified vulnerabilities
Maintain scripts and monitoring protocols on all remote BOT monitoring world wide
Install all vendor software updates according to Change Management SOP
Responsible for periodic testing of failover systems
Responsible for updating information in GE Configuration Management Data Base (CMDB)
Capacity planning, resource allocation, infrastructure strategy, design services, etc.
Coordinate with other GE teams to maintain compliance with GE policies and initiatives
Initiate incident response, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem resolution
Develop cloud migration strategy between GE teams and vendors
Work closely with SQL and .NET developers in the team to manage and support automated solutions
Minimum BS Information Systems college degree or equivalent or 5+ years technical experience
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required.We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job.
3+ years with Microsoft Server administration, MS SQL and MS web services
Experience with AWS servers, automated configuration and cloud services
Experience supporting large scale web applications
Experience with SQL scripts beyond administration
Experience with .NET programming development
Deep knowledge in architecture and design
Experience with F5 load balancers
Ability to clearly articulate complex ideas to technical resources
Excellent organizational and problem solving skills
Strong desire to explore, evaluate and understand new technologies
