Role Summary: The Leader must manage the activities of the Plant within the budget and policies of the Product Line while achieving the Plant’s growth and profit targets in full compliance with EHS and GE Values. The Leader is directly responsible for the Manufacturing, Quality, Material Management and EHS at plant level, while assuring on-time delivery, projected manufacturing costs and performance in terms of productivity, efficiency, Cost of Quality, etc., along with employee and labor relations.
Essential Responsibilities: • Implement a 3-Year Plan for the Plant in collaboration with the Region and Product Line GSC. Organize the manufacturing related operations and launch all the necessary action plans (according to GE procedures) in order to commit with the budget. • Manage the Global Supply Chain in order to deliver the projects on time (from Manufacturing Planning to Delivery), in conformity with the technical specifications at the optimum costs. Insure the Customer satisfaction by making products right at first time and delivered on-time; • Support external/internal growth strategies • Manage and develop expertise of the teams. Ensure the team has the right level of know-how and competency to perform their responsibilities through coaching, development and hiring. • Quality: Comply with Quality Procedures, work instructions and Processes Report. Resolve any non-conformances and process in a timely manner. Put in place and enforce the use of the right tools to realize design intent. Enforce the right processes and methodology. • Ensure the environment protection of the Units and protect personnel by implementing GE EHS leadership and ensure Zero Deviation Plan is implemented within the team, in collaboration with the Plant EHS leader. • Plan, Implement, follow up and sustain the Continuous Improvement action plan (based on APS) of the Plant in collaboration with the involved functions of GE. • Implement the Lean trilogy and ensure a sustainable and sounding Lead Time reduction. • Direct responsibility for the plant inventory, drive reductions on raw material and WIP, ensure minimum FG level. Fully apply all process and techniques supported by GRID & PL central teams to make sure material and Inventory are well managed and kept under control reaching business targets; • Material Management & Planning: define with the planning leader the drivers and strategies to assure smooth manufacturing execution, delivering products on-time . • Manufacturing Engineering: Ensure PTR Common Process (CPC) are implemented and the functions related to Industrial area like maintenance, process, Capex, NPI, are properly run and in line with plant objectives;
Qualifications/Requirements: • Engineering / Industrial Bachelor’s Degree • Minimum 10 years’ experience in Power Transformers (HV Equipment) and/or leadership roles within a manufacturing environment • Fluent in English
