In this role you will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage communication within functional area of expertise, be involved in long-term planning, and contribute to the overall business strategy. This role will report to the Latin America Global Supply Chain General Manager.
Work along with customs, materials, engineering, IT and finance team on the design of the processes and controls to maintain special programs. Ensure proper communication with Customs team and availability of data required:
BOMs, Deviations, Adjustments, Inventory cycle counts results, Cost adjustments, Subassemblies, part numbers equivalences and unit of measure and conversion factors control.
Work with Customs team on the analysis and reconciliation of imported balance against physical inventory, on a monthly basis.
Key member of ERP and tax engine implementations, upgrades and maintenance projects relating to Customs special programs, manufacturing and inventory.
Drive the global adoption and improvement of GE's VAT Reporting Tool (VRT).
Liaise with wider VAT team and develop, adapt and roll out policies and procedures into Latin America locations.
Support Customs and Tax team with information to respond to inquiries from government related to special programs and inventory control.
Attending meetings with Customs and Tax team to update on developments, share ideas an new opportunities.
Assess applicability of legislative changes along with Customs and Tax team to the different businesses and communicate to the organization.
Maintain regular contact with external resources, e.g. legal, accounting, business and trade groups, with a view establishing best practices.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain, Logistics, Manufacturing or similar.
Fluent in English.
5+ years of experience in Supply Chain and knowledge of Mexican customs.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects.
Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
