Role Summary: The Engineering Designer will create detailed 2D manufacturing drawings and apply 3D PMI using Unigraphics NX version 8.5 and Teamcenter version 8.3 for transportation and control equipment including sheet metal, motors, forged parts, etc.
Essential Responsibilities: • Detailing 2D manufacturing drawings and adding PMI to 3D models, create parts lists, wiring diagrams, layouts, detailed assembly drawings, and part outlines • Ability to complete simple modeling. • Must have working knowledge of drafting practices, manufacturing methods, shop tolerances, engineering, and manufacturing standards and methods of ordering materials with supervision from an engineer and D1. • Ability to make accurate mechanical engineering drawings and create bills of material for ordering • Must have sheet metal design experience and also experience creating complicated assemblies
Qualifications/Requirements: • Minimum of an Associate’s Degree • Minimum of 1 year’s of experience with 3D modeling, assembly and drafting work using Unigraphics NX and Teamcenter
Desired Characteristics: • Geometric Dimension and Tolerancing experience • Strong working knowledge of drafting and modeling standards • Must have knowledge of electrical schematics and understand math including decimals, fractions, and simple functions • Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills • Must deliver work to specified schedule • Minimum of 1 years of manufacturing experience
