Role Summary:

The Sr Director Market Development will drive the global channel strategy & development activity for GE Digital across key growth region – e.g., Americas, MENAT, China, Europe, Japan, India etc.

The individual will develop new commercial models, engagement models and lead the identification, recruitment and onboarding of key regional strategic partners for GE Digital’s channel. Should have a clear view of the competitive landscape.

Essential Responsibilities:

Key responsibilities:
Develop strategy, lead the identification, recruitment and onboarding of key channel partners as well as the development of key commercial & engagement models and contractual agreements with our channel.

The individual will work closely with GE product teams – automation, brilliant manufacturing, cyber, SerivceMax, APM, etc to drive channel go-to-market development. In addition, the individual will work closely with GE Global Growth Organization (GGO), local business units, GE Digital commercial and legal team, and other GE Digital business units.

Our channel are companies that will take GE offerings and sell to their customers via multiple routes to markets and models.

Qualifications/Requirements:

Basic Qualifications:

  • At least 20 years of experience in business creation or product/service/solution innovation including Software /tech industry experience and Sales/channel experience and/or Management consulting

    Eligibility Requirements :

  • Must be willing to travel 70% of the time abroad
  • Must be willing to work in San Ramon, CA 30% of the time
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job ( If Visa Sponsorship is No)

    Desired Characteristics:
  • MBA from a top 15 accredited university or or college
  • Top tier consulting firm e.g. McKinsey, Bain, BCG or GE CAS experience
  • Ability to interpret financial analysis and preparing business development plans
  • Understanding GE products and services
  • Team player with the ability to work in a cross-functional environment
  • Strong analytical skills coupled with a solid finance background
  • Multiple-language proficiency desired
  • Understanding of global markets
  • Strong oral and written and communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
  • Must be fluent (written & oral) in a second language and with international work experience
  • Must be strong in powerpoint
  • Technical expertise – e.g. Complete portfolio knowledge for identification & pre-positioning, account & pipeline strategy
  • Business acumen expertise – e.g.alliance strategy & execution, IIOT market & competitive landscape, driving partner growth, customer/partner acumen
  • Leadership expertise: building channel partners and strategic alliances in tech industry, problem solving, communicating new ideas
