Role Summary: GE Healthcare's Analytics Solutions help transform data into actionable insights, and necessary for Healthcare Systems to improve patient outcomes and achieve operational excellence. As a Software Engineer on the Cloud Analytics Platform team, you will be developing core infrastructure capabilities that enable the ability to extract and interpret data across healthcare IT systems, devices and imaging equipment.
Essential Responsibilities: You will be responsible for programming a feature and/or a small feature set. You will contribute to the team and work with direction from the Senior Team Members or management but work independently.
In this role you will:
Write codes that meets standards and delivers desired functionality using the technology selected for the project.
Develop cloud based rest services that interact with a variety of data sources including SQL, No SQL, etc.
Act as a member of the Analytics Platform Team, representing the face of high quality design and development practices.
Develop high performing, scaling and innovative end-to-end web applications.
Collaborate with system engineers, frontend developers and software developers to implement solutions that are aligned with and extend shared platforms and solutions.
Apply principles of SDLC and methodologies like Lean/Agile/XP, CI, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring and Testing Techniques.
Understand performance parameters and assess application performance.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
A minimum of 2 years of professional experience with full stack cloud development on azure or AWS
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. GE may agree to sponsor an individual for an employment visa now or in the future if there is a shortage of individuals with particular skills.

Desired Characteristics: Technical Expertise:
Experience with public cloud infrastructures such as Amazon or Azure
Experience developing web applications (Spring, Java, Junit, Python)
Experience with SQL and No SQL database such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Hadoop
Experience with Analytics, machine learning, or Business intelligence
Have a solid understanding of the underlying infrastructure needed to run a large distributed web application
Has the ability to break down problems and estimate time for development tasks
