Role Summary: As part of the Controllership team, you will be responsible for WCS legal entity, managing general accounting activities for cost & management service allocations, preparing income, balance sheet statements, various other accounting statements, reports, analyzing financial reports & records, reviewing and verifying the accuracy of journal entries, accounting classifications assigned to various records as well as coordination of accounting matters with other departments, locations, & divisions
Manage WCS global HQ activities including global cross charge process, cost and management service allocation to other WCS entities and HQ
Support transfer pricing studies and requirements in cooperation with HQ TP team and WCS tax team
Responsible for day-to-day accounting and reporting
Prepare monthly and quarterly balance sheet analysis schedules for the entities
Prepare and review monthly and quarterly account reconciliations and account closings, balance sheet analysis schedules, and current accounts
Support FP&A in the preparation of forecasts, budgets and exposure analysis
Coordinate with various stakeholders on the preparation of the Statutory Financial Statements for the WCS HQ entity
Review all NL local taxes and returns
Support internal audit activities (CAS) and yearly KPMG audit
Interact with operations, risk and any other function to ensure understanding of the entities and proper representation in its financials
Ensures controllership & compliance of all activities and documentation within local, GE corporate and business practices, policies & requirements
Support simplification projects and other initiatives within Controllership team
Business degree in finance or economics, strong technical and analytical accounting background
Strong experience in accounting, preferably in financial services environment
Self- starter, ability to work autonomously
Knowledge of US GAAP, Dutch GAAP, and IFRS
Knowledge of Oracle Financial Systems
Fluent in English, written and spoken. Dutch and any additional European language would be advantageous
Self-motivated and driven
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical skills
Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities while staying focused and meeting deadlines without sacrificing accuracy
Must be flexible with working hours in order to meet urgent deadlines and project timelines
