Role Summary: Additive Manufacturing Engineer will help advance additive manufacturing technologies, supporting additive manufacturing machine, process, part and material development, optimization, and supporting key R&D initiatives
Essential Responsibilities: •Primary focus will be on developing additive manufacturing processes and materials & related technologies for building components for use in Aviation and Power businesses. •Generate novel technical ideas and develop technical solutions to address the business needs for additive manufacturing technologies •Interface with external organizations and supporting functions coordinate the efforts of project team members to accomplish overall goals
Qualifications/Requirements: •Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college •Experience with additive manufacturing technologies •Experience on state of the art metal laser sintering, laser melting systems such as Concept Laser, EOS, SLM etc •Hands on experience in additive manufacturing part and process development •Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects •Strong oral and written communication skills •Strong interpersonal and leadership skills •Effective problem identification and solution skills •Experience in an R&D environment •Demonstrated initiative to stay abreast of technology advancements •Demonstrated analytical, experimental and problem solving skills. •Able to work with global team and address business concerns with innovative technical solutions.
Desired Characteristics: •Ph.D. degree or equivalent in Applied Physics, Metallurgy, Materials, or Mechanical Engineering •Project leadership skills and tracking record of managing R&D projects . •Ability to identify and implement process control and process discipline methodology to the additive manufacturing processes •Experience with machine development,
