GE Power’s Water & Process Technologies is a global business that focuses on the world’s most complex water-related challenges in more than 100 countries. Role Summary: GE Water & Process Technologies is currently searching for a Commercial Engineer to join our Commercial Engineering team and assume responsibility for proposal activities, basic process designs, budgetary and final proposals within an assigned region, as well as periodic support for other Commercial Engineers within the group. This position may require some travel.
Essential Responsibilities: The objective of this assignment to provide a development opportunity to demonstrate capability
in leading coordination of all BMS project related ITO (Inquiry to Order) activities
in successful and productive collaboration with the sales team in development of opportunities and hence drive business growth
in establishing a strong internal network to enhance successful collaboration with all internal functions that are involved in a BMS project all the way from ITO to OTR
Support development and closure of key deals to maximise revenue generation.
Support Sales teams to properly structure a deal and optimize profitability through a thorough understanding of the project life cycle costs and financing requirements where applicable.
Support Sales teams to structure deals to combine equipment, services and speciality chemicals and clearly develop & communicate value propositions for each BMS offering.
Support Sales teams in the continuous development and/or fine tuning of country specific business plans and market research.
Timely preparation of budgetary and final proposals.
Generate process designs
Generate/Coordinate Process & Instrumentation Diagrams and General Arrangement Drawings.
Apply costing and process design strategies to position the company in the early stages of project development and to increase probability & success.
Adhering to all internal procedures related to bid preparation, proposal tracking, authorization of Order Packages and sales forecasting.
Provide training to both CF&E and Sales Teams on the BMS portfolio of Solutions and all related aspects.
Showing capabilities to accelerate change, work in a rapidly changing environment and operate independently to deliver business results. Also, show strong influencing and team building skills using clear and concise communication skills to, drive and inspire colleagues across all the business functions.
Bachelor's degree in mechanical, chemical, civil or environmental engineering or equivalent knowledge and experience
Significant experience in water and wastewater engineering or equipment supply field
Profound knowledge of Membrane Separation Technologies and Membrane Process Equipment
