Role Summary: Working with a large mission critical client server system, this role is to be part of the primary operations expertise in service and maintenance and deployed the complex software and hardware solution. Coordinating and working with development engineering teams on new solutions while interfacing with end customer’s technical leaders.
Essential Responsibilities: In addition, you will be: • The primary support representative for the customer and key member in the solutions delivery team. • Ensuring up time with the ecosystem. • Working closely with software engineering bring service value to the client.. • Responsible to build and maintain process and tools to bring operational services, software deployment, application monitoring and performance testing. • Critical in be able to understand the entire client eco-system which includes GE systems and bring value to system wide trouble shooting sessions. • Assisting development of training documentation by sharing technical expertise with documentation team. • Managing both internal and external communications for scheduled maintenance, incidents and outages. • Maintaining products and/or services for data protection, security, disaster recovery and emergency patching.
Qualifications/Requirements: •Bachelor’s Degree in Computer science or Engineering or any Technical field with minimum industry experience of 7 years in similar field. • Possesses strong IT and SW system ownership and analysis capability. • Able to own the issues and drive solution with a global team. • Experience in working in an Agile SDLC. • 5+ years of experience SW development skill in the related code stack. • 5+ with client side integration and deployments., monitoring and performance testing and/or system and application support. • 5 years IT operation knowledge, experience with ITIL best practices.
Desired Characteristics: • Able to analytically and trouble real time server client system, that has a hardware and cellular communication system. • Linux/Unix system administration experience • Real Time Operating System RTOS experience • Deployment & Automation and Configuration Management tools: Docker,Chef/Puppet, Refactory and Jenkins • Experience with coding and DB in Java, Postgress. • Experience with codding and working with API and Microservices. • Experience with Monitoring and Logging tools such as elasticsearch, LogStash, Kibana, Nagios or Splunk • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to read, write and interpret business and technical documents • Willingness and ability to travel 20% of the time • Must have a valid driver’s license and obtain a passport • Willingness to participate for 24/7 call rotation if needed. • Willingness to work on weekends, some holidays and various shifts based on business needs
