Staff and manage an Integrated Operations (IO) projects capable of delivering well construction and intervention (onshore and offshore) in MENAT/India. Coordinate with appropriate Baker Hughes Leaders, as well as HSE, Finance, HR and Legal functions to deliver a cohesive team for well construction / asset management. Work with MENAT/India region, Geo-markets & product line management to ensure IO maintains a seamless customer interface and performance.
Provide knowledgeable and credible leadership, oversight and guidance to all IO operations/projects. Ensure that appropriate KPIs are established (incorporating finance(Project PnL), performance efficiency/NPT and leading and lagging indicators for HSE) for each Project and clear objectives/job descriptions are in place for all IO project staff to deliver against the KPI’s. Support development of strategies for the customers, as well as selection and management of all 3rd party services, including drilling contractors. Champion safety in IO operations/projects in MENAT.
Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Ensure that an appropriate management structure and personnel are in place to safely deliver all IO projects according to our Integrated Management System (IMS) guidelines and processes. (Includes safety, logistics and project finance).
Develops specific short-term and long-term plans and programs, together with supporting budget requests and financial estimates.
Submits budgets for assigned activities in accordance with the budget procedure. Approves budget expenses up to authorized dollar amounts set by policy.
Review and approve cost control reports, cost estimates, and manpower and facilities requirements forecasts.
Coordinate with ‘start up’ team for all new projects as per IMS guidelines.
Establish clear KPIs (Finance, Safety, Performance, Budget and Efficiency) for all IO projects.
Establish annual plans for the delivery of performance improvements.
Approves objectives for each IO project in MENAT
Conduct business in accordance with the BHGE Business Code of Conduct and Core Values.
Coach and provide career development advice to staff as appropriate.
Support the strategic planning, commercialization and legal functions in defining and implementing regional business strategies.
Prepare and distribute performance reports (weekly and monthly management summaries) capturing KPIs, significant events and deviations from approved plans.
Ensure that IMS process for management of 3rd party contractors is rigorously applied.
Ensure that IMS Management of Change process is utilized when changes are made to operating plans or standards.
Ensures that feedback on third party suppliers is captured in order to allow continuous improvement in operational execution of future projects.
Ensure compliance with Baker Hughes Health Safety & Environment policies.
Document any HSE (Health, Safety, Security and Environmental) incidents that may occur. As required, lead initial data gathering and initial investigations
Ensure MENAT personnel comply with HS&E Management System by setting the correct example and being a role model for implementation of safe work practices.
Bachelor's degree in engineering, geosciences, or related technical discipline
Minimum 15+ years’ experience or more in a quality oil and gas operator/service organisation in a Management role
Demonstrated experience running operations and displaying a thorough understanding of the needs of the operator (oil company) / asset manager
Familiar with the various Geoscience and Petroleum Engineering competencies within Operators
Thorough understanding of third party resources needed to complete an Integrated Operation offering and how to access those resources in the region
Knowledge of company’s business practices including strategic planning, budgeting, risk management, contracting, HSE&S and staffing
Strong leadership skills
Strong teambuilding and interpersonal skills required given the wide range of locations managed
Excellent planning and organizing skills
Ability to recruit, train and motivate personnel in order to balance staff size with profitability and growth
Effective communicator with all levels of company and customer personnel
Thorough understanding of general market conditions, with particular focus on area of responsibility
Must be prepared to travel periodically (Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, United States, and other MENAT countries, etc.). Travel required, approximately 30%
Master’s degree in business administration
