Invenia* Automated Breast Ultrasound (ABUS): GE Healthcare is the sole provider of FDA-approved technology designed for screening women with dense breast tissue. Role Summary: Leads the practical application of engineering principals with expertise in Electrical Engineering and investigates new techniques as part of a team. Responsible for designing electrical and electromechanical product/subsystem release solutions.
Setting the hardware engineering strategy and leading the continuous improvement of systems, products and processes
Designing at least one of the following electrical components and interconnects: digital, FPGA, Analog, low-level RF
Experience with low noise analog signal and sub-system design, power distribution and control design
Serving as subject matter expert of UL/ETL/IEC standards and how they apply to designs
Engaging in all phases of new product introduction, including concept, architecture, documentation, design, prototype, test, supplier interfaces, manufacturing introduction and service support
Leading change through creative solutions to unstructured product and system design issues
Instilling a rigorous approach to target costing for new products and driving cost out of existing products
Ensuring reliability, performance and delivery through supplier relationships
Functional leadership of the team, including recruitment, team/talent development, skill set improvement, and mentoring
Supporting existing products within Manufacturing, Sourcing, Service and Supplier Quality Engineering
BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
5-10 years engineering experience in a related field
Demonstrated experience in any of the following: Low noise analog signal and sub-system design, power distribution and control design
Working knowledge of Mechanical and Thermal aspects of sub-system design and packaging
Demonstrated management and leadership skills
MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
. Demonstrated technical leadership capability in integration activities
. Self-starter, energizing, results oriented, and able to multi-task
Excellent teamwork, coordination and communication skills
Ability to meet aggressive reliability, performance, cost, serviceability, and delivery targets
Effective oral and written communication skills
Global project experience
Working experience with PWA/PWB and subsystem design techniques for signal integrity and EMC Circuit design and simulation tool experience 9. Knowledge of UL/ETL/IEC standards and how they apply to designs 10. Working knowledge of GEHC tools and processes EQPM, ePDM, Cadence 11. 5 years of management experience
