Role Summary: The main function of the Testing Technician is to conduct a variety of mechanical and electromechanical tests on submersible pump systems to ensure unit functions according to specifications or to determine condition / serviceability of the unit.
Essential Responsibilities: In the role of Testing Technician you will:
Transport equipment into shop for pump, seal, and motor testing
Steam clean pumping systems to remove foreign materials
Disassemble portions of the pump in order to inspect for corrosion or erosion
Inspect and flush the pump
Perform computerized assessment of performance curve of the pump to determine efficiency and make any required improvements
Perform minor repairs as required
Complete shipping and receipt paperwork when equipment arrives or leaves the yard
Keep testing equipment in well working condition
Keep all working areas safe and free of debris and oil
High School diploma or GED from an accredited school or institution
Minimum 6 months of experience in assembly, warehouse or manufacturing
Work overtime, weekends and holidays, as required
Work in a constant pushing, pulling, lifting, stretching, bending and other physical activities
Be in the shop environment a minimum of 8 hours per day, primarily standing and sitting, as required
Lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
Be subjected to extreme heat for extended periods of time
