Role Summary:
At Water & Process Technologies, named the Water Company of the Year by Global Water Intelligence, we manufacture water filtration and purification products and systems, with the goal of helping to solve complex challenges related to water availability and quality. We manufacture membrane for our global plants and for external customers.



Essential Responsibilities:
The 2nd Shift Membrane Production Supervisor is a key member of the Membrane Operations team, providing direction and assistance to the Membrane teams in order to meet EHS (Environmental, Health & Safety), Quality, Productivity and On-time Delivery goals.

As the Membrane Production Supervisor - 2nd Shift, you will:

  • Develop manufacturing plans consistent with the goals and objectives of the department annual plan
  • Arrange for and provide appropriate staffing to meet the production schedules set by production planning, consistent with budget and current business levels
  • Lead the root cause analysis to identify root causes that limit production from achieving the goals and drive closure of action items that result
  • Support, encourage and facilitate Lean Manufacturing principles by providing adequate time for training and for project teams to accomplish continuous improvement projects
  • Maintain and further develop a Visual Workplace including support for a 5-S program, active project boards, performance measure charts, and training program status boards
  • Strive to keep all variances related to achieving business objectives, monitoring increases and decreases in production demand
  • Develop and support the growth of all employees
  • Identify, justify, document and implement process productivity projects which support the area’s growth plan and yield significant reduction in defects and increased productivity
  • Support equipment upgrades from purchase through installation
  • Drive Process Improvement / Cycle Reduction initiatives and drive productivity improvements via process changes or improvements
  • Identify and reduce product quality issues caused by process variation
  • Ensure processes contribute to a safe work environment
  • Support all company workplace policies including attendance and safety objectives
  • Coordinate emergency response as necessary and lead investigation and closure of actions items from the event
  • Work with HR to develop a performance oriented work environment encompassing timely performance appraisals, 45 & 90 day reviews for new employees, timely disciplinary action when warranted, and compensation programs which encourage employees to excel



Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university (OR High School Diploma / GED with a minimum of 2 years of leadership experience in a Lead or Facilitator position


Desired Characteristics:
  • Web handling experience
  • Chemical coating experience
  • Process or production engineering experience in a chemical operation
  • Lean / Six Sigma training or equivalent quality training
  • Ability to plan, communicate and execute
  • Ability to deal fairly and equitably with all employees
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to lead projects utilizing project management skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
