Role Summary: The VP Educational Services will build and lead a world-class training, education and certification function aligned to the Customer Success organization. This function is focused on training, education and certification, in both products and industries for both customers and partners across the GE Digital portfolio in the Logistics, Manufacturing, Energy and Emerging Verticals.
Core to this enterprise will be driving customer success, adoption and retention leading to top line growth, client reference-ability and profit for this new, fast scaling Digital business unit. In this influential role, you will partner across GE Digital and horizontally across the GE businesses to ensure alignment with regional/vertical/business teams in order to drive successful delivery and implementation of all solutions, and continued customer success. In addition, you will collaborate and influence across the GE organization to help shape and define a repeatable, scalable digital educational services model.
As the VP, Global Education Services you will:
Oversee responsibility, provide leadership and shape the culture of a growing training and education services team.
Design and execute a scalable, innovative learning program and create an organization dedicated to customer adoption that is inclusive of both instructor-led and digital offerings.
P & L responsibility for Educational Services revenue, cost, growth, margin & profitability
Create programs that will ensure our customers and partners are enabled and equipped to drive toward superior outcomes.
Incorporate strategies to educate, certify and ultimately utilize our new partner and channels ecosystems.
Develop a repeatable engagement management framework to guide all phases of the client engagement lifecycle, ensure measurable success, drive operational rigor and manage expectations.
Design education services strategies that align to business needs critical to the success of corporate financial results.
Develop strong relationships with customers to ensure high levels of satisfaction with the execution and delivery of professional services.
Coordinate with and manage relationships with SIs and partners.
Help drive the continuous evolution of global Educational Services organization through incorporation of best practices, consistent, high quality and repeatable solutions, and by building of strong team and brand.
Work collaboratively across the business to lead long range planning process, business plans and strategic initiatives
Institute and support Communities of Practice and other knowledge sharing initiatives (i.e. Communities, Mentoring, Education, etc.).
Design strategies to deliver scalable solutions that include a blended approach to learning such as coaching, classroom training, 1:1 session, action learning & e-learning, globally and in local languages as appropriate.
BA/BS degree in Business, Finance, or related professional field
At least 10 years of related work experience
At least 5 years of leadership experience leading a large, global organization
GE Leadership Program Graduates will get credit towards relevant work experience, commensurate to the program they have completed

Must be willing to travel 30%
Must be willing to work out of a GE office located in San Ramon, CA or Other US locations
Broad and deep technical experience with cloud and emerging technologies, including Outcome-as-a-Service (OaaS), Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS)
Experience with solution delivery, software delivery and system integration background
Leadership experience in leading a software Educational Services business
Show a high level of domain industry expertise
Ability to develop and execute multiple priorities and approaches to meet objectives
Focus on driving customer outcomes to determine success through direct customer interaction and organizing the team for customer impact
Exceptional interpersonal skills– ability to synthesize complex issues and communicate into simple messages for peers, customers and national employee teams
Strong business acumen
Proven ability to influence, energize, develop and drive change through exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Experience leading a P&L with financial responsibilities and providing leadership for all functional services areas including experience handling customer escalations
Strong track record of building a high-performance team; attracting, developing and retaining talent
Demonstrated success in working with customers to resolve complex issues and develop solid business relationships
In-depth knowledge of and experience in the Digital Technologies, IT, Software markets, and GE Digital Software Solutions
Inclusive leadership style with a focus on personal involvement, trust and flexibility
Ability to present in front of large groups, deal with ambiguity, and demonstrate composure in stressful situations where competing priorities must be managed
MBA or equivalent
Experience working with 3rd party vendors and independent partners
Experience with multi-lingual documentation development
Background in coaching, training, and developing people from individual contributors to executives
Ability to leverage relationships throughout the GE Learning and external learning communities
