Role Summary: The Crane Operator will conduct routine and out of the ordinary crane lifts within the service center for all product lines and departments, in an efficient manner, maintaining a high standard of safety.
Essential Responsibilities: As the Crane Operator, you will:
Operator 72 and 275 ton gantry cranes
Assist in the development of lift plans, lift fixtures and visual work instructions detailing all lifting and flipping operations
Initiate all lift plans for routine and unusual lifting and flipping operations
Perform duties with awareness to avoid dangerous situations, such as, overloading, excessive swing, sudden drops / lifts, obstruction of crane movement, etc
Maintain a high standard of good housekeeping at workplace
Carry out daily inspection of cranes and pre-use inspection of rigging equipment; noting any maintenance required and ensuring it is carried out
Maintain operating logs on cranes and equipment
High School Diploma / GED
Minimum of 3 years experience crane experience
Ability and willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends and overtime
Ability and willingness to wear personal protective equipment
