Role Summary: The Logistics Project Specialist is responsible for managing the year over year, productivity program on a ~$10MM annual warehousing/packaging budget. He/she is primarily responsible for leading projects to optimize overall warehousing/packaging costs while tracking the actual spend vs. budget. With analytical methods and a variety of tools understands warehousing/packaging operations, processes & activities, and controls, reduces costs.
Essential Responsibilities: Responsibilities include data management, analyzing performance, identifying problems, and developing, recommending and implementing solutions to solve the problems. Key Accountabilities:
Responsible for executing the required level year over year productivity program in warehousing/packaging.
Develop project deck by monitoring and understanding warehousing/packaging cost levers.
Drive “close the gap” actions all over Europe warehousing/packaging.
Create visibility & accountability on all warehousing/packaging projects; facilitate the development of line-of-sight metrics to link warehousing/packaging activities to Industrial Solutions strategic initiative around cost reductions.
When necessary assist in generating detailed reports explaining variances between the Budget/Op Plan and actual costs (YoY walks”).
Learn and use Lean Six Sigma tools to identify & implement projects to reduce Logistics' cost.
Qualifications/Requirements: The ideal candidate:
has Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college;
has several experience in warehousing function;
speaks fluent English;
is experienced in using an ERP system;
able to work independently;
can navigate their way through Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word and Power Point).
