Role Summary:
The Team Leader will be accountable to the Manager of Requisition Engineering. This position requires strong leadership skills in a team environment, strong analytical skills and strong technical skills requiring commercial and industrial power and control knowledge. In addition to performing engineering functions on requisitioned orders, you will utilize your experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others.


Essential Responsibilities:
  • The Team Leader will provide technical support and guidance to the team to ensure that all customer requirements are met in a timely manner.
  • This will include the review of customer specifications and drawings along with a final review prior to the completion of engineering on all complex jobs.
  • The Team Leader will be responsible for maintaining high quality levels for the team as measured by defects per section, change notices, factory floor problems, field and customer complaints, scrap, surplus and cost of rework.
  • Responsible for level loading the team and making daily rounds to insure jobs are completed on time.
  • Responsible for maintaining a planned output level for the team.
  • Assist the engineer in supporting the factory in resolution of issues or questions related to engineering change notices and electrical/mechanical applications.
  • Will also support the engineer in the resolution of post sale complaints.
  • Promote open communications and maintain an effective working relationship with the customer, field sales, project management and shop operation associates.
  • Assist with customer meetings as needed.
  • Maintain a participative approach in dealing with team members and with co-workers in all functions through self-directed motivation and high involvement.
  • Present to internal teams on specified metrics.


Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related discipline from an accredited university or college
    7 years of experience in industrial power and control engineering and in Switchboard, Switchgears
  • Must have strong leadership skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
    English fluency

  • Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects.
  • Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
  • Established project management skills.
