As a Staff TPM, you will operate in lock-step with product mgmt. to create a clear strategic direction for build needs, and convey that vision to the service’s scrum team.
You will direct the team with a clear and descriptive set of requirements captured as stories and partner with the team to determine what can be delivered through balancing the need for new features, defects, and technical debt.
Your priority is seamless integration and alignment of perspectives from a broad set of stakeholders.
In this role highly challenging and mission-critical role, you will:
Work with cross-functional teams to deliver features and significant product releases
Own the short-term roadmap for Major and Minor features via quarterly releases
Prioritization of workload from internal product releases to operational escalation
Demonstrate expert level skill in problem decomposition and ability to navigate through ambiguity
Engage frequently (80%) with the development team; facilitate discussions, provide clarification, story acceptance and refinement, testing and validation; contributes to design activities and decisions
Provide complete design architecture and support processes for designated products
Own and manage sprint backlog; maintain minimum of 2 iterations of work planned
Collaborate with Architecture team in design decisions, demonstrating deep understanding of technology stack and impact on final product
Conduct customer and stakeholder interviews and elaborate current user stories, and feature set status
Provide operational support as needed within L3/L4 perspective for escalated incidents
Demonstrate superior persuasion and influencing skills that ensure alignment between customer, product manager and engineering team
Demonstrates excelling business acumen, knows latest industry trends and is looked at as an internal expert on the product as well as the associated competitive landscape
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or in “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math), or related field from an accredited university or college (Or 2 year Associate's Degree from an accredited school or institution with minimum of 3 years of experience in Information technology or engineering, OR High School Diploma / GED with minimum of 5 years of experience in information technology or engineering)

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS :
Ability to obtain a Secret US Security Clearance
This role requires use of technical data subject to U.S. Government contract restrictions and this posting is only for U.S. Citizens. GE will require proof of status prior to employment

Experience with a diverse set of IT technologies across the technology stack (infrastructure, platforms, applications, software, etc.), and broad familiarity with IT technology and industry trends
Deep expertise in one or two core IT technologies (infrastructure, Windows, Linux, virtualization, etc.)
Experience working with external customers, especially in the defense industry
Experience with customer and stakeholder negotiations, and demonstrated ability to balance conflicting priorities to find mutually-beneficial solutions
Demonstrates the initiative to explore alternate technology and approaches to solving problems
Skilled in complex problem solving, documentation, and estimation of effort
Demonstrates knowledge on technical topics, such as compute infrastructure, scalability, and security
Skilled in negotiation to align stakeholders and communicate a single synthesized perspective to the scrum team. Balances value propositions for competing stakeholders
