Role Summary: As Manager of a Data and Analytics DevOps team, you will apply your knowledge of management, Data engineering and analytics methodologies, best practices, and proven processes to deliver a quality Data & Analytics outcome on budget, within planned schedule with superb quality. This specific position will manage a set of engineers and will focus on BI and Analytics products for GE Businesses
Manages 1-2 agile teams (max approx. 12-15 directs); dotted line help as well.
Leader within his/her own domain. This role is distinguished by the influence on stakeholders and impact on the business.
Direct reports consist of individual contributors and contractors; does not manage people managers.
Leadership is demonstrated through team leadership and knowledge in a specific technical area.
Begins to demonstrate deeper expertise in Data & Analytics methodologies/tools and drive best practices.
Demonstrates an ability to communicate the technical knowledge through project management and contributions to team strategy.
Provides coaching, feedback, developmental opportunities, etc. to directs.
Bachelor's in Engineering and Master's in Engineering or Quantitative fields from Tier 1 Institutes
Minimum of 10+ years of experience in the Data & Analytics domain with renowned organizations
Minimum 4 years of experience in an Data & Analytics leadership and team management roles

Knowledgeable about BI developments in various contexts, businesses, and industries. Quantifies effectiveness of approach by gathering data. Drives accountability and adoption. Publishes guidance and documentation Proposes solutions based on research and synthesis
Demonstrates mastery of the intricacies of interactions and dynamics in Agile teams. Guides new teams to adopt Agile, troubleshoots adoption efforts, and guide continuous improvement. Provides training on Agile. Drives elimination of inefficiencies in development process. Teaches best practices to others. Actively embraces new methods and practices that increase efficiency and effectiveness.
Advanced knowledge on OBIEE, Tableau, Spotfire and other data visualization tools
Advanced knowledge on ODI, Informatica, Talend and other data engineering tools
Advanced hand-on experience on Databases, and one server-side language (e.g. Python, Java, PHP, etc.) is preferred
Researching and exploring new technologies and their implications within projects
Evaluates technology to drive features and roadmaps. Maps technology trends to internal vision. Differentiates buzzwords from value proposition. Embraces technology trends that drive excellence beyond traditional practices (e.g., Test automation in lieu of traditional QA practices).
