Role Summary:
Role Summary/Purpose Description:
Ensure an uninterrupted supply of materials to support production and sales. Work to resolve Materials issues while achieving and maintaining inventory business metrics.

Essential Responsibilities:
Essential Responsibilities Key responsibilities include:
• Overall ownership of material ordering, availability, scheduling and driving targeted inventory levels
• Rescheduling materials for pull ins (expedites) and push outs (for inventory control)
• Daily Shortage root cause investigation and resolution
• Partner closely with suppliers focusing on: materials replenishment planning, root-cause problem solving,
• Conduct daily walks on the floor and the receiving dock to investigate and resolve material issues
• Support material transfers, supplier reviews w/Sourcing
• Supplier visits, as needed - internal and external
• Manage Phase In / Phase Out (NPI) to minimize obsolete material
• Provide supply analysis data and recommendations as necessary
• Assist in cycle count efforts as determined
• Support tool development for prediction of material issues
• Support all lean activities, initiatives, and action workouts
•Assist in Material deflation with Sourcing

1. Bachelor’s degree or HS diploma & 5 yrs material experience or production scheduling
2. Computer proficiency (Microsoft Excel, Power point)
3. Excellent Interpersonal Skills (Good Communication, Team Player, Engagement & Influence)
4. Strong problem solving skills
5. Business level Japanese speaking
6. Business level English speaking

Desired Characteristics:
1. Business level Chinese speaking
2. Working knowledge of MRP and experience
3. Working knowledge of Six Sigma & Lean and experience
